Vivian Laverne Roberts Spruiell age 83 of Sulligent, AL, died Monday, September 19, 2011, in the Northwest Medical Center in Winfield, AL.

She was born in Monroe County to the late Jet and Ellie Adams Roberts, and was the wife of the late James L. Spruiell. She was a resident of the River Road Community and a member of the Wesley Chapel Methodist Church. Vivian had worked for McCoy Manufacturing and retired from Reltoc Manufacturing and she also worked at Sulligent Elementary School as a teacher’s aide for a number of years. 

Survived by One Son: Luke (Jean) Spruiell of Sulligent, AL; One Sister: Elvis Faulkner of Columbus, MS; One Brother: Winford (Nell) Roberts of Hatley, MS; a Granddaughter; Misty (Eric) Scott of Caledonia, MS; a Great Granddaughter: Ella Scott and a host of Nieces and Nephews. 

Preceded in death by Her Husband: James L. Spruiell; Two Sisters: Clorie Cumberland and Estelle Carroll; a Brother: J.G. Roberts. 

Services held Thursday, September 22, 2011, at 2:00 PM from the Sulligent First Free Will Baptist Church with burial in the Gilmer Addition of the Sulligent City Cemetery. Bro. Steve Baccus and Bro. Edward Puckett officiating.
