Roger Lee Brown age 90 of Vina, AL formerly of Beaverton, AL died Thursday, December 2, 2010 at the Red Bay Hospital in Red Bay Alabama.

Roger was born in Beaverton, AL to the late John Jermain and Myrtie Lee Harrison Brown and the husband of the late Gloria Lou Rushing Brown. He was of the Baptist Faith and was a member of the Sulligent Masonic Lodge for over 60 years. He served in the US Army in WW II and was the owner of the Vina Meat Packing store in Vina, AL from 1962 to 1971.

Survived by One Daughter: Sherry South of Fulton, MS Two Sons: Bob Brown of Madison, AL and David Brown of Hamilton, AL Two Sisters: Exie Alexander of Belmont, MS and Tollie Mathis of Atlanta, GA One Brother: Billy Harrison Brown of Madison, AL Four Grandchildren and Three Great Grandchildren.

Preceded in death by His Parents, Wife and One Sister: Jewel Anderson and Three Brothers: Guy Brown, Odis Brown and John Brown.

Service held Sunday, December 5, 2010 at 2:00 PM from the Taylor Springs Freewill Baptist Church with burial in the Taylor Springs Cemetery. Bro. Keith Spencer and Bro. Billy Nichols officiating.

Pallbearers were his Nephews.

Visitation: Saturday, December 4, 2010 from 6-8 PM at the Funeral Home.
