Leland Estell age 85 of Guin, AL died Saturday, September 18, 2010 in the Sunset Manor Nursing Home in Guin, AL. 

Born in Guin, AL he is the Son of the late Grady and Eva Webster Estell.  He had lived in Guin and Beaverton most of his life and was a member of the Guin First Baptist Church.  He was a Veteran of World War II and the Korean War having served in the US Army and was retired from L & N Railroad in Birmingham.  He was also the past president of the Henson Springs Volunteer Fire Department. 

He is survived by his Wife, Polly Brown Estell of Guin, AL, 2 Sons, William Terry (Mickie) Estell of Jasper, AL and Don R. (Vivian) Williams of Birmingham, AL,  3 Grandchildren, Blake Fletcher, Don and Darrick Williams, 3 Great Grandchildren, 2 Step Daughters, Jennifer (John) Cornett of Leeds, AL and Ramona (Rocky) Beach of Moody, AL, 4 Step Sons, John “Tommy” Couch and Kenneth Couch both of Guin, AL, Larry (Debbie) Couch of Winfield, AL and Robert (Sharon) Couch of Houston, TX.   

Services held Monday, September 20, 2010 at 2:00 pm from the Norwood Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Old Union Cemetery.  Bro. Shannon Knight officiating.
