Janice Atkinson 

Janice Atkinson age 70 of Guin, AL died Thursday, February 18, 2010 in the Northwest Medical Center in Winfield, AL.

Born in Columbus, Mississippi she is the Daughter of the late Conner and Keron Gee Stokes and the Wife of Lawrence Atkinson.  She had lived in Guin most of her life and was a member of the Guin First Baptist Church.  She had taught at Guin Elementary School for 27 years. 

She is survived by her Husband, Lawrence Atkinson, A Daughter, Karen Atkinson and A Son, Brian Atkinson all of Guin, AL and 4 Nephews, Randy, Tommy, and Benjie Howe and Chris Stokes. 

She was also preceded in death by 2 Brothers, Edward and Wayon Stokes.

Services held Saturday, February 20, 2010 at 11:00 am from the Norwood Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Guin City Cemetery.  Bro. Scott Stokes and Bro. Tim Alexander officiating.
