James Lipsey age 54 of Beaverton, AL died Friday, June 17, 2011 at his residence. 

Born in Lamar County, AL he is the Son of the late Printess and Agustia Metcalf Lipsey.  He married Terrie Madison Lipsey on December 30, 1977 and in their union they had 3 Sons.  He served in the US Army and retired form the Nation al Guard after serving 25 years.  James was a member of the New Hope Free Will Baptist Church.  He was a devoted husband, Father Grandfather and friend. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 Brothers, 1 Sister In Law, 1 Brother In Law and Mother In Law. 

Survivors are Wife; Terrie Lipsey of Beaverton, 3 Sons, Chris (Wendy) Lipsey of Guin, Damien (Chastity) Lipsey of Beaverton, and Bryan (Tiffany) Lipsey of Guin, 13 Grandchildren, 2 Sisters, Dorothy Terrell and Thelma Hooper and 3 Brothers, Hayward Lipsey, Carl Willie Lipsey and Marty Will White.  A host of Nieces and Nephews.

Services Saturday, June 25, 2011 at 1:00 pm from the Norwood Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Beaver Creek Cemetery.  Bro. Johnny Stewart officiating.
