Ruby Hollis Taylor age 104 of Clarksburg, TN formerly of Guin, AL passed away April 17, 2016 in the Signature Health Care, Clarksville which had been her home since September 2010.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; six sisters, Nellie Aldridge, Betty Langley, Willie Hollis, Hattie Atkinson, Mattie Miles, Lexie Beck; three brothers, Hobson Hollis James (JIM) Hollis, Jess Hollis; two great granddaughters, Harriet and DeLeia Luck.
Ruby worked at many jobs over the years including Alabama Mills Textile, lamp factory, hospital nurses aid and private sitter with the elderly and ill.She and her husband owned and operated a general store in Yampertown (Twin), AL for many years including gowing-up years of their children.They later owned and operated the Frosty Front in Guin, AL for several years in the 1960's.In 1978 they moved to Bumpus Mills, After the death of her husband in 1979, she enjoyed her young grandchildren and provided most of their transportation to school activities and events.She also became chauffeur for her group of friends on their many trips.She always loved travel, experiencing new things and being actively involved in life and church.Well into her 90's she continued to drive locally, maintain her household and mow and trim her yard.A Christian from early adulthood, she was a member of Bumpus Mills United Methodist Church and always provided a loving example for her family and friends.She will be greatly missed by her survivors; Son, Billy Hugh Taylor (Marilyn), Bumpus Mills, TN; Daughter; Shirley Jean Taylor, Clarksville, TN; Grandson, Jeff Taylor, Nashville, TN; Granddaughter; DeAnne Luck (Kevin) and Great Grandsons Spencer and Chris Luck of Woodlawn, TN and many nieces and nephews.
