Gracie Suggs Howard age 72 of Sulligent, AL died Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at her residence. 

Born in Columbus, MS to the late Samuel D. and Jessie Shepherd Suggs and the wife of the late Charles Edward Howard. Gracie had lived in the Columbus area most of her life and was a member of the McBee Baptist Church in Columbus, MS. She was a social butterfly that enjoyed dancing every Friday and Saturday night at the Junction in Columbus, MS. She loved teaching her ladies in her Sunday School class and she loved God, family and life. 

Survived by: four Daughters: Julie (Dennis) Gartman of Millport, AL, Sandra (Mike) Spears, Susan (Tony) Gallop and Jessica (David) Stephens all of Caledonia, MS, Two Sons: Charles E. “Chuck” Howard of Atlanta, GA and Steve (Marsha) Howard of Columbus, MS, Three Sisters: Josie (Jimmy) Fannon of Brooksville, MS, Doris (Don) Lyles of Starkville, MS and Mary Jewel of Fort Mills, NC, Two Brothers: Bill (Nancy) Suggs  and Sam (Sandra) Suggs both of Columbus, MS, Fourteen Grandchildren and Fourteen Great Grandchildren and a Host of Nieces and Nephews. 

Memorial Services held Saturday, October 15, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. from the Canaan Baptist Church in Columbus, MS on Lehmberg Road. Bro. Bill Webb and Bro. Jim Ray officiating. 

In Lieu of flowers Gracie had requested Memorials be made to the Mcbee Baptist Church, Building Fund 2846 Hwy 50 East in Columbus, MS, 39702.
