Eugenia Pearce (Ma Genie) age 91 of Sulligent, AL passed away on Thursday, April 29, 2010 at Gilmore Memorial Hospital in Amory, Ms. Born in Monroe County Mississippi to the late William Claud Ray and Georgia Maples Ray. She was married to the late Kermit Pearce. She was a member of the Sulligent Church of Christ. She was a homemaker and worked with the Senior Aid Program out of Vernon, Al. She is survived by three Daughters: Betty (James) Crosby, Sulligent, Milissa (Billy) Phillips, Caledonia, Ms and Eva Mae (Ben) Pickle, Beaverton, Al. Two Sisters: Vivian Cantrell, Bartahatchie, Ms. and Catherine Wright, Winthrop Harbor, Illinois. Four Grandchildren: Daphene Cannon, David (Sofina) Crosby, Leslie (Kevin) Flynn all of Sulligent, Al. and LaShae (Rob) Rich of Auburn, Al. Seven Great Grandchildren: Brittany Farris, Winfield, Al. Hallie Crosby, Heather Crosby, Abigail Crosby of Sulligent, Al., Nathan Rich, Ally Rich, of Auburn, Al., and Aubree Flynn of Sulligent, Al. Preceded in death by her husband Kermit Pearce, one Granddaughter Debora Crosby Farris, two Brothers Bill Ray and Leon Ray and one Sister Jaunita Corbell. Services held Saturday, May 1, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the Norwood Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Pickle Cemetery. Matthew Thigpen and John Brown officiating. Pallbearers: Kenneth Edgeworth, Morgan Sizemore, Fred Markham, Jim Merchant, R.J. King, Larry Cox, Brian Cox, Josh Webster and Steve Morton.
