Eddie Gunter age 61 of Guin, AL died Wednesday, April 28, 2010 in the Palliative Care Center in Birmingham, AL. 

Born in Haleyville, AL he is the Son of Bernice (Sam) Tyra Gunter and the late J. E. Gunter.  He had lived in Guin most of his life and was a member and Deacon of the Union Chapel Baptist Church.  He was a former Scout Master of Pack 57.  He had served on the Guin Volunteer Fire Department for over 30 years and was the current Fire Chief. 

He is survived by his Wife, Patsy Rye Gunter of Guin, AL, Mother, Bernice (Sam) Gunter of Guin, AL, 3 Sons, Brent (Vickie) Gunter and Chad (Joanna) Gunter all of Guin, AL and Kelvin (Lori) Gunter of Winfield, AL, 8 Grandchildren, Tyler, Caleb, Jake, Calista, Kade, Chadley, Aiden, and Julianna, 3 Sisters, Faye Sisk of Cornova, NC, Susan Riley of Florence, AL and Wanda Gilliland of Montgomery, AL 2 Brothers, Ray Gunter of Twin, AL and Joe Gunter of Atwater, CA.  Special Friends, Jerry and Judy Norris, Randy and Brenda Garrison and Gene and Lynda Webb. 

He was also preceded in death by a Daughter, Becky Gunter. 

Services held Friday, April 30, 2010 at 1:00 PM from the Union Chapel Baptist Church with burial in the Guin City Cemetery.  Bro. Israel Price and Bro. Tommy Spruiell officiating.
