Clifton Franks age 80 of Guin, AL died Monday, December 20, 2010 in the Northwest Medical Center in Winfield. 

Born in Guin, AL, he is the Son of the late John and Callie Phillips Franks and the Husband of the late Melba Ruth Oliver Franks.  He had worked at W. T. Vick Lumber Company, was a Veteran of the Korean War having served in the US Army and was a member of the Free Water Free Will Baptist Church. 

He is survived by a Step Daughter, Regina Oliver (Ronald) Pratt of Guin, AL, 2 Daughters, Geneva and Judy Franks of Mississippi, 3 Step Grandchildren and 6 Step Great Grandchildren, 2 Sisters, Willa Dean Palmer of Guin, AK and Maylene Harlan of Winfield, AL, and 4 Brothers, Cleburn Franks of IL, Roland Franks, of TN, Leburn Franks of Rock City, AL and Floyd Franks of Guin, AL. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Melba Ruth Oliver Franks and Step Daughter, Jackie Warren Cooper. 

Services held Thursday, December 23, 2010 at 2:00 pm from the Norwood Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Liberty Cemetery.  Bro. Randy Wright officiating.
